I have a ‘94 grand am, that just today, started making a loud clicking sound. When I say loud, I mean I could probably blow most motorcycles away, and send lawn mowers crying in fear. It starts as soon as the car does, and gets worse when I accelerate. Also, accelerating has become rather difficult to achieve, so hitting 60+mph is a feat. Any thoughts?

just had brakes checked and they are fine. the mechanic said it is if it was the joint it would do it when i accelerated not braked.

I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with my car- I’ve noticed that on bumpy roads the front wheels make a weird creeking sound. And I put my car in reverse this morning and it made that same noise, only louder. Especially on sharp turns it also makes that creeking sound. My mechanic says it could be the front wheel bearing is bad…any ideas what could be wrong?!
it’s a pontiac grand am, 1993 and has about 147000 miles

Braking on a normal road is fine and when I brake there isn’t any noise. When I use the brake on a incline, hill, or when going over a speedbump, I hear a squeaky noise.

My car is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. I got it in August of 2007 and the dealer said the brakes were new.

The emergency switch is not on! It is not normal for it to be making the noise at all times!
