Hello -

I have a 93 Toyota Corolla. When the weather gets cold, say below 50 degrees farenheit, the car starts to make a loud ’screeching’ noise when the steering wheel is turned. The noise will stop suddenly after the car has been running a while, and will also fade or go away if you steer straight again.

The anitfreeze is good, and I’ve been told the belts are tight and there is enough power steering fluid.

Any suggestions what the problem might be?

Not sure why this is but if my car is not warmed up and I have left the recycle air on or if I turn it on right away my car makes a loud sound. It has gotten more frequent now and sometimes it doesn’t matter if my car is warmed up.

Coolant is added. It only makes bubble sound once in a while..
